Ethel M. White, 68, of Sarver died Wednesday.

Born Nov. 7, 1942, in Bedford to the late Harry and Melvie Hillegas Layton, she graduated from Bedford High School.

She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of Sarver.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed working in her flower beds and raising her family. She also enjoyed knitting, especially Steeler blankets, for her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth G. White; three children, Kevin E. (Lana) White of Houston, Texas, Kenneth G. (Vickie) White Jr. of Butler, and Karen E. (Peter) Tomiczek of North Apollo; five grandchildren, Mathew, Karra, Justin, Casey and Renee; and five siblings, Sylvia Jean Grubb of Everett, Glenn Layton of Bedford, Patty McDannell of Osterberg, Bedford County, and David and Steve Layton, both of Bedford.

<B>WHITE</B> — Visitation for Ethel M. White, who died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the <B>ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 217 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, where a service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. by her pastor, the Rev. Howard A. Greenfield II.
