Raymond Robinson

Raymond H. Robinson, 90, of Mercer, formerly of East Brady, died Sunday at the Avalon Springs Nursing Home, Mercer.

Born Sept. 20, 1920, in Hillville, Perry Township, Armstrong County, he was the son of Mark W. and Mary E. (Bohler) Robinson.

He had worked for three years at Penn Drake in Karns City and retired as a specialty chemicals supervisor after 39 years at Koppers, Petrolia. He also worked as an income tax preparer for many years in the East Brady area

He was a 1937 graduate of East Brady High School and enjoyed gardening, going to flea markets, hunting, trapping, doing crossword puzzles and playing golf.

Mr. Robinson was a member of the United Methodist Church, East Brady, where he was a Sunday school teacher, treasurer and a member of the board of trustees of his church.

He also was a member Rotary International, East Brady, was active in the Boy Scouts in East Brady and served on the East Brady Borough Council

Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen R. Bordell of Hermitage; a sister, Marian G. Dunmire of Orlando, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen L. (Corle) Robinson, who he married May 14, 1941, and who died May 23, 2008; a son, Edward C. Robinson; two daughters, Carol A. Robinson and Mary E. Hopkins; a grandchild; a brother, Harold C. Robinson; and a sister, Emma R. Riddle.

<B>ROBINSON </B>— Visitation for Raymond H. Robinson, who died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, East Brady, with the Rev. Richard Russell, church pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in the Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg.Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church, East Brady, PA 16028.
