Louis E. Boliver

Louis E. Boliver, 93, of Gibsonia died peacefully Christmas morning.

He was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Salem, Ohio, to Louis A. and Stella (Feurhake) Boliver, who are deceased.

Louis was the beloved husband of Hazel M. (Creeks) Boliver, who he married on March 4, 1942. They were married for 68 years.

He was the loving father of Thomas C. (MaryAnn) Boliver of Gibsonia and Bruce G. (Tracy) Boliver of Grove City. He was a dear grandfather to Kimberly McCall and to Bethany and Craig Boliver.

Louis retired from The Peoples Natural Gas Co. after working for 38 years as manager of employee benefits.

He was an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, was involved in youth baseball for 19 years, and was a member of the North Hills Chapter 595 AARP.

Louis, a World War II veteran, served three years and seven months in the U.S. Army Medical Administration Corps, including two years in the European Theater. A captain, he was honorably discharged in 1945.

Louis was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

<B>BOLIVER</B> — Friends of Louis E. Boliver, who died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown with the Rev. Dan Muttart, the Rev. Terry Stoops, and the Rev. Dr. Richard Morledge co-officiating.
