Victor Paul Campagna Sr.
Victor Paul Campagna Sr., 88, of The Orchard, Butler, formerly of Cresson, Cambria County, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.
He was born July 31, 1922, in Lilly, Cambria County, the son of the late August and Carmella (Courvina) Campagna.
Vic was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Parish, where he was a longtime usher.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served in the Pacific theater. He was a past commander of the Cresson American Legion, where he served in many capacities. He also was a member of the VFW.
Vic was very active in the Cambria County Fair Association, where he had served as president. He enjoyed golfing at the Summit Country Club and walking around Cresson. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren who always brought a smile to his face.
He retired from the A&P grocery company, where he had been a meat manager.
Surviving are two sons, Victor P. (Monica) Campagna Jr. of Slippery Rock and Ronald F. (Judy) Campagna of Wadsworth, Ohio; two granddaughters, Jodi (Liam) Brennan of Cranberry Township and Jessica Campagna of North Royalton, Ohio; two grandsons, Tad (Laura) Campagna of Slippery Rock and Nicholas Campagna of Wadsworth, Ohio; five great-grandchildren, Lainey, Eden and Brady Brennan, and Freddy and Elle Campagna; two sisters, Lucille Campagna of Lilly and Patricia (William) McConnell of Cresson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Antoinette “Toni” C. (Massimilla) Campagna; four sisters, Florine, Lucinda and Nilda Campagna and Louise Armold; and two brothers, Natale “Nud” and John Campagna.

Kennedy Funeral Home</B>, 233 Keystone St., Cresson, Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday the St. Francis Xavier Parish, 211 Powell St., Cresson.
