Charles Barton Jr.
Charles “Charlie” “Tub” L. Barton Jr., 77, of Sarver passed away Saturday at his home.
Born Oct. 27, 1933, in Fleming, Centre County, he was the son of Charles L. and Erma K. (Smay) Barton.
He worked in the tool and die industry, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of the Army National Guard, the Masonic Lodge and the NRA.
He attended the Evangel Heights Assembly of God.
Charlie enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending quality time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife, Alice (Reith) Barton, who he married Sept. 20, 1953; his children, Kathy Buterbaugh of Sarver, Karen (Tom) Pappas of Renfrew and Roger (Laura) Barton of Cabot; his siblings, Carl, Donald and Glenn Barton and Joan Keiser; eight grandchildren, Nicole (Justin) Stanley, Robert (Samantha) Buterbaugh, Steven, Joshua, Ryan (Cassie) Barton, Hannah, Tom and Casey; and four great-grandchildren, Kailee, Jackson, Lorelei and Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
<B>BARTON </B>— Friends of Charles “Charlie” “Tub” L. Barton Jr., who died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John P. Kuert officiating.
