Emily Irving Mosberger, 81, of Chesapeake, Va., died in Annapolis, Md., at the home of her daughter, Nora, on Sunday, following declining health.

She was born in Saxonburg on Aug. 22, 1929, to the late Herbert and Helen (McClain) Irving.

She attended Saxonburg Elementary School and was a 1947 graduate of Butler High School.

Raised with a strong work ethic, she was a valued, loyal employee for legal, hospital and corporate employers, and retired as office manager of Portsmouth Orthopedic Association.

She was a life member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 40 and Ladies of the Moose.

She was a Protestant, growing up in the Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Emily is survived by her five children, Nora (Erich) Albrecht of Annapolis, Md., Sue (Greg) Belcastro of Maryville, Calif., Jo Helen (Richard) Clowney of Pittsburgh, Amy Johnson of Fredericksburg, Va., and Thomas (Cynthia) Ritchey of Huntingdon; 12 grandchildren, Mark Clowney, Scott Clowney, Stephen Clowney, David Ritchey, Sarah Ritchey, Clay Rapada, Shelley Rapada, Kristina Jones, Seth Johnson, Jimmy Condrey III, Crista Seifert and Jessica Garner; six great- grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Irving of Annapolis, Md., and Thomas Irving of Lima, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Bobby.
