Charles L. Scherer
Charles L. “Eddie” Scherer, 82, of East Brady, formerly of the North Side, died Thursday.
Charles was a hard- working construction and steel worker and worked two jobs most of his life.
He was a devoted family man, enjoyed the outdoors, his garden and caring for his animals.
He was the beloved husband of the late June R. (Clark) Scherer, who he loved and adored with all his heart; the father of Cheryl (the late Tim) Irwin, Lynne Baranowski, and Ed (Mary Lou) Scherer; the brother of Mary Helmstaedter, Dorothy Schnieder, Ralph, Regis (Mickey), James, and Robert Scherer; and was the devoted and loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Ruth Nickel, Benjamin Scherer, Herman Scherer and Elizabeth Seech.
