Artimas Schimmel, 76, of Cabot passed away Friday at her home.

Born May 4, 1934, in Butler, she was the daughter of John L. Morgain and Easter Mary Fowler Morgain.

She had owned the former Artie's Restaurant in Saxonburg and also owned Brownsdale Manor.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church and she was a Concordia Tele-Caregivers volunteer.

She loved playing cards and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Schimmel of Cabot; her daughter, Chrysa (Brian) Hortert of Butler; two sisters, Mary (Glenn) Freehling of Saxonburg, and Patricia Taylor of Saxonburg; one brother, David (Janet) Morgain of Butler; and two grandchildren, Olivia and Benjamin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Louie Morgain, and Harry Morgain; and one sister, Geneva Taylor.

<B>SCHIMMEL</B> — Friends of Artimas Schimmel, who died Friday, Nov. 17, 2010, will be received at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, Saxonburg, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Services will be on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Barry Keurulainen officiating.
