Senior forward Maron Brown became the 21st player in the history of Slippery Rock University men’s basketball to reach the 1,000-point milestone, scoring 17 in The Rock’s 84-67 loss at Indiana (Pa.) on Saturday.

Brown, who now has 1,014 points at SRU, added 11 rebounds in the game.

Devin Taylor added 12 points and John Bayardelle 10 for The Rock (11-5, 1-1).

IUP (11-3, 2-0) never trailed and was led by Darryl Webb’s 30 points and 11 rebounds.

• Mars High graduate Ian Hindley and Antawane Davis both scored 15 points for Butler County Community College in a 76-54 loss to CCAC.

The Pioneers dropped to 3-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
