The 2011 edition of the Mid-Atlantic Fruit and Vegetable Convention is set for Feb. 1 to 3 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey.

In addition to the convention, three workshops will be held Jan. 31.

About 1,900 fruit, vegetable, berry growers and other industry persons from throughout the mid-Atlantic region and beyond are expected to attend, while Dr. Joseph Schwarcz will be giving the keynote presentation.

Schwarcz is from McGill University in Canada and his presentation is titled “Eating — Is There a Solution to the Confusion.”

A special session on Feb. 2 is designed especially for Spanish-speaking workers in the fruit and vegetable industries.
