Rodney E. Michael
Rodney E. Michael, 56, formerly of Harrisville, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday at his home at 8 Sea Spray West, Laguna Niguel, Orange County, Calif.
Born in Wheeling, W.Va., Oct 12, 1954, he was the son of James R. Michael and Virginia L. Barr Michael.
He retired in 2002 from the Office of Personnel Management, Boyers.
Mr. Michael was a member of Saddleback Church of California.
He was a 1973 graduate of Slippery Rock High School.
He enjoyed spending time with his children, and he was a Steelers fan.
Surviving are three children, Luke R. Michael and his wife, Abbie, of Grove City, and Jacob “Jake” Michael and Colleen Michael, both of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; his father, James R. Michael of Grove City; one sister, Tammy Lane and her husband, Donald, of Cranberry Township; a granddaughter, Madison Michael; and one niece and nephew, Bekah Lane and Ethan Lane, both of Cranberry Township.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia “Ginger” Michael; one son, Tyler Michael; and one brother, Doug Michael.
<B>MICHAEL</B> — Funeral services for Rodney E. Michael, who died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, will be at <B>Cunningham Funeral Home</B>, 306 Bessemer Ave, Grove City, Friday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Richard Rowe, a retired Presbyterian pastor, officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
