The South Butler School Board Wednesday night:

• Approved a $32,177 budget for the spring musical.

• Approved, at no cost to the district, the after-school program “Girls on the Run.” The program trains girls in third through fifth grades and sixth through eighth grades for a 5K race and offers lessons in self-esteem at the same time. Tracy Taylor, physical education teacher at Knoch High school, will run the program in association with Magee-Women’s Hospital.
