BC3 BASKETBALL

Butler County Community College survived a late scare and took a 79-78 men’s basketball victory over CCAC-South Wednesday.

The Pioneers (3-8) led by four in the closing seconds when South hit a 3-point shot, then stole the inbounds pass. BC3 fouled Ryan Hart, who had sunk 11 of 12 free throws in the game.

Hart missed both free throws and BC3 escaped with the win. Ben Peterson scored 20 points while Jordan Taylor had 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Women

The Pioneers (5-5) grabbed a 68-57 victory over CCAC-South. Butler graduate Rachel Doutt had 18 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, and Karns City graduate Ashley Campbell scored 15 points.
