Allcare Dental offices close
Allcare Dental & Dentures offices have closed in Butler and Wexford and elsewhere in Pennsylvania.
Because of that, the state attorney general’s health care section said that if customers have complaints with Allcare, they should file complaints with that office soon.
The sudden closure of the business triggered an investigation by the attorney general’s office, which has fielded complaints from consumers throughout the state, according to a news release from Tom Corbett, attorney general and governor-elect.
Consumers can file complaints by calling the attorney general’s health care hot line at 877-888-4877 or access an online complaint form at www.attorneygeneral.gov.
According to the release. customers also are urged to take these steps to limit and to document their financial losses:
• If you paid by check, contact your bank to determine if payment can be stopped.
• If you arranged for long-term financing, contact the financing company and dispute payment for items that were not delivered.
• If you arranged for automatic payment, contact your bank or credit union to stop withdrawals from your account.
• Keep a record of transactions, receipts or bills that document payments or orders.
• Keep phone records about employees spoken with and when conversations occurred.
