Robert Eugene Stanley, 77, of Butler passed away Thursday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born April 21, 1933, in Butler, the son of the late Chester and Gertrude (Brophy) Stanley.

Bob retired in March 1994 after 41 years at Armco where he worked in the melt shop as a maintenance crane operator.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and American Legion Post 117.

Bob was an assistant scoutmaster of Troop 20 from 1971 to 1976.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae Stanley; his daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Cara Jo) Flinner of Prospect; two sons, Robert E. (Debbie) Stanley Jr. of Germantown, Wis., and William A. (Sue) Stanley of Portersville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Tom (Betty) Pizor of Meridian and Mrs. Kenneth (Shirlee) Frenchak of Butler.

<B>STANLEY</B> — Friends of Robert Eugene Stanley, who died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, will be received at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W.
