Dolores M. Martini

Dolores M. “Dee” Martini, 83, of Evans City died Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Mrs. Martini was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. She was a 1951 graduate of Mt. Mercy College, now Carlow University, receiving her master's degree in nursing.

She worked as a registered nurse at hospitals in Texas, Illinois and Pennsylvania and was a professor of nursing at Community College of Allegheny County from 1983 to 1990. She was a member of the PA Conservancy and worked for the Republican Party in Butler County.

She is survived by her son, Paul J. (Jacqueline N.) Martini of Evans City; her daughter, Carole Ann (David) Martini-Jordan of Evans City; one brother, Ronald Chuff of Columbus, Ohio; and two sisters, Loretta “Babe” Sitka of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary Alice “Cookie” Sitka of Washington, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Martini, who died Feb. 27, 2009, and her grandson, Matthew Paul Martini, who died June 3, 2009.

<B>MARTINI</B> — Friends of Dolores M. “Dee” Martini, who died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services</B>, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. George Dalton officiating.
