Anne Wolensky, 87, of Lyndora died Saturday evening at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia, Cabot.

She was born in Lyndora, Dec. 29, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Mary Uram Semanco.

A mother and homemaker, Anne had worked during her younger years at her family business, the Semanco Bakery and Store, that had been at Main and Kohler Avenue in Lyndora. She later had worked at the Butler Kmart.

She enjoyed playing cards with her card clubs and at the Tanglewood Center, dining out, reading and traveling. However, her family, especially her grandchildren, were her greatest pleasure.

Anne was a lifelong member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.

She was the widow of Joseph Wolensky, to whom she was married from September 1947 until his death on Dec. 8, 1973. A brother, Michael Semanco, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons and their wives, Joel and Yolanda Wolensky of Macungie, Lehigh County, Larry and Jennifer Wolensky of Lyndora and William and Diane Wolensky of Butler; seven grandchildren, Katie, Andrew, Beth, Christine, Michelle, Joseph and Elizabeth Wolensky; two brothers, William Semanco of Bath, Ohio, and James Semanco of Lyndora; and a sister, Mary Gornik of Chicago.

<B>WOLENSKY</B> — Friends of Anne Wolensky, who died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Ave., Lyndora. Her pastor, the Rev. Robert Oravetz, will officiate. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.Parastas services will take place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
