Phyllis E. Renfrew
Phyllis E. Renfrew, 78, of Valencia died Wednesday morning at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born in Alcester, S.D., on Aug. 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Martha Heartgrave Brys.
Phyllis had owned Renfrew's Store in Valencia for many years. She also worked in the kitchen at St. Barnabas Home, was a cafeteria worker for the Adams Elementary School in the Mars School District and was a clerk for Dudt's Bakery in Wexford. She was a baby sitter and nursery caregiver for the Mars United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Renfrew, who she married on Oct. 15, 1955; two sons, Kenneth Renfrew and Robert Renfrew (Robin), both in Valencia; her grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Bob, and Ethan; and a brother, Ralph Brys (Betty) in California.
She was preceded in death by one son, Douglas Renfrew, and one brother, Eugene Brys.

Renfrew, who died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2010, will be received at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars, on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Bruce Gascoine of St. Paul's United Methodist Church will officiate.
