Eleanor L. Huff
Eleanor L Huff, 89, of Old Plank Road, Butler,
died at 5:10 p.m. Monday at her home.Born Feb. 11, 1921, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Harry Matson and Minnie Shawkey Matson.Mrs. Huff was a homemaker. She was a member of the Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church.She loved cooking, canning and flowers. She had a strong Christian faith and loved the Lord. She was born at the family home, raised her five children there and quietly passed away in the presence of her loving family.Mrs. Huff is survived by three sons, Leslie G. (Carole) Huff, Pete L. (Jenny) Huff and Charles R. Huff; two daughters, Joan L. Cole and Sandra J. (William) Guetthoff; three granddaughters, Kimberly (Eric) Hilliard, Traci (David) Lindsay and Robin (Craig) Butler; six grandsons, Brian (Lisa) Guetthoff, Charles (Denise) Huff, Jr., Greg Huff, William (Bonnie) Walker, Kurt (Michele) Huff and Mike Huff; 14 great-grandchildren, Natalie Marton, Dalton Hilliard, Elijah Hilliard, Justin Hilliard, Cody Huff, Lauren Lindsay, Blake Butler, Bryant Butler, Bryce Butler, Kaitlyn Walker, Coulter Walker, Allison Huff, Christopher Huff and Nickolas Huff; several step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Huff was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Huff, who she married May 29, 1937, and who passed away April 26, 2003; four brothers, Darrell, James, Charles and Clair Matson; one sister, Hazel M. McCandless; one son-in-law; and one daughter-in-law. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
<B>HUFF</B> — Friends of Eleanor L. Huff, who died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, will be received at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be no visitation on Thanksgiving Day.Services will be at the Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church on Friday at 1:45 p.m. with visitation at the church one hour before the service. Pastor Donald Short of Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church and Pastor Robert A. Huber of North Street Christian Church will officiate.Interment will follow in Butler County Memorial Park.Memorial donations may be made to Grace at Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E.
