Gallagher

Elizabeth D. “Liz” Gallagher, 75, of Harmony died Wednesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.

Born Feb. 20, 1935, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of James M. and Velma Lambert Mullenax.

Mrs. Gallagher was an active member of the Grace Church of Harmony.

She owned Gallagher Real Estate in Zelienople for 28 years and was a member of the West Penn Multi List.

Mrs. Gallagher was a member of the Silver Sneakers, the Harmony Historical Review Board and the Zelienople-Harmony Chamber of Commerce.

She was an avid traveler, liked dancing with her husband, swimming and doing water aerobics at the YMCA and especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Claire R. Gallagher, who she married May 24, 1953; three children, Sherry L. Szakelyhidi of Fombell, Chad B. Gallagher of Zelienople and Lesa S. Gallagher of Harmony; two brothers, Lewis Mullenax of Harmony and Jesse Mullenax of Arnold; a sister, Joann Neal of Butler; five grandchildren, Rachael Gallagher, Ryan Gallagher, Tyler Gallagher, Jonathan Szakelyhidi and Alexander Szakelyhidi; and a great-grandson, Moses Heine.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
