Francis A. Maitland
In loving memory of our husband and dad, Francis A. Maitland
April 24, 1945 - December 13, 2009
Dad,
Tears still fall, and hearts still ache.
We know your mind is clear and your body is healed.
We understand you couldn’t stay,
An angel came, called your name,
Took your hand, and led the way.
And when we see a shooting star,
We know God is letting you drive an awesome car!
You’re laughing again with family and friends,
Walking tall and softly among the clouds.
You ask that we close our eyes and see,
The pain is gone, you’re whole again and free,
In our hearts, you will always be.
Love, your daughters:Misty, Francine, Sherry and Grandson KyleWhen night falls and all is quiet, I cannot help but think of you and wonder how so many things went wrong so quickly. You have enhanced the heavens for one year now.You faced so many obstacles and so many tragedies your entire life. Together, for over thirty years, we weathered these challenges and battles that life presented.Your body became so weary that the final battle was not to be won. In shock, we watched you slip away from us when we least expected it.I have found solace in the knowledge that since February, Dakota has walked alongside you. Sky, so lonely without you, has a new playmate named Christmas.Say hello and Merry Christmas to Ray, Ramie, Bobby, Roxann and Margaret. Misty, Sherry, Francine and I think of you and miss you every day.
Love,Georgiana
