Dorothy Maxine Patrick, 83, of Mars passed away Tuesday at the St. John Specialty Care Center.

She was born June 14, 1927, in Clarion County, the daughter of the late William McKinley Garis and Blanche (Shetler) Garis.

Dorothy retired as a registered nurse from Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington.

She attended the First United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Marguerite Patrick of Glenshaw; two grandsons, Kevin and Brody; and three great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Patrick, who passed away Sept. 1, 2006; and a son, William Earl Patrick Jr.
