Nora Kuminkoski
Nora J. Kuminkoski, 88, of Dutchtown Road in Butler died Saturday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
She was born June 12, 1922, in Manila, Philippines, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Mendosa Halcon.
Nora was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She formerly worked as a cook at Natili's Restaurant for 10 years.
She was a member of the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers and was a very active volunteer at her church. She was also a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years.
Her husband, Edmund S. Kuminkoski, who she married Aug. 17, 1947, preceded her in death on May 18, 2003.
Surviving are her children and their spouses, Lorna and John Whittington of Butler and Edmund S. and Ruth Kuminkoski of Verona; four grandchildren, Doug Dittmer and his wife, Kim Dittmer, Michael Dittmer and his wife, Rachel Dittmer, Alan Kuminkoski, and Andre Kuminkoski; and four great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Steven, Makayla and Hope Dittmer. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
Several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
<B>KUMINKOSKI </B>Friends of Nora J. Kuminkoski, who died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, will be received at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery.The St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite the rosary.Information and a guest book are available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
