The performing arts series will feature a concert of “Snowflakes and Sleighbells” by the Pittsburgh Philharmonic on Dec. 10 in the Succop Theater.

• “Scrooge in Concert,” presented by a cast of 30 dressed in Victorian costumes accompanied by original music, will begin at 7:30 p.m. today in Miller Auditorium.This family friendly version is a spirited remake of the story by the New York State Originals, a New York-based theater company.Tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and youths younger than 17, and $8 for SRU students. • The fall production by Orchesis Dance Troupe will take audiences through a range of songs in “Orchesis on Broadway.” Performances are at 7:30 p.m. today and Friday and at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center.The show is free although tickets are required. They will be available daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Breen Student Union. The performers will showcase dancing styles ranging from hip-hop to ballet to tap to Irish.• The annual Grove City College Carnegie Christmas Concert Series returns to the Carnegie Alumni Center with performances from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Monday through Dec. 10. The annual event, hosted by the Alumni Center, is free. The lineup includes:Students of the voice studios — Solos, Duets on Monday; Gallery Brass, Woodwind Quintet and Saxophone Quartet on Tuesday; String Group and French Horn Ensemble on Wednesday; Flute Choir and Crimson Brass, Dec. 9; and Grove City College Singers, Dec. 10.Complimentary light refreshments and hot beverages will be served. Pitt's Festival of World Music takes place from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the ballroom of the William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Admission is free.The festival features African, Japanese, Indonesian and East European music played by Pitt's world music ensembles, comprising both undergraduate and graduate students.

“Whatever it Takes: Steelers Fan Collections, Rituals, and Obsessions” continues through Jan. 30 in CMU’s Miller Gallery in the Purnell Center for the Arts, 5000 Forbes Ave.Admission is free.
