Lifesteps raised more than $50,000 to benefit the Lifesteps Family Caring Fund Nov. 13 at the fourth annual Star Gala.
Held at the Atrium in Prospect, the event honored Lifesteps’ 2010 Star Award recipient
Rob Olszewski, 36, for his remarkable strides against a diagnosis of cerebral palsy at 13 months of age. Olszewski is a 1979 graduate of what is known today as Lifesteps’ Early Education Center.Last year, Lifesteps provided direct services to 7,300 individuals and provided outreach to more than 10,000 in its 10-county service area through programs and services such as free child development screenings, Early Education Centers for children with and without special needs, support and crisis intervention for families, a medically-monitored day program for adults 18 and older and programs and services for adults with intellectual and developmental challenges.———On Nov. 11, the winners at the Butler Duplicate Bridge Club were:First:
