Paul J. Miller, 88, of Valencia died Thursday while under the care of the VA Butler Healthcare in Butler.

Born on June 1, 1922, in Lloydell, he was the son of the late Andrew and Olga (Emerick) Miller. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

A U.S. Navy World War II veteran, Paul served his county from 1943 to 1946 aboard the USS Nevada, participating in the North Atlantic, African, and South Pacific theaters.

He was a superintendent for more than 38 years at the CJ Langenfeld Sintering Plant in Saxonburg.

Paul was an active parishioner at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, was a Boy Scout Leader, and enjoyed golf, bowling, and gardening.

He was the beloved husband for 55 years of Priscilla E. (Szalay) Miller, who he married June 18, 1955; loving father of David A. (Kathy) Miller of Adams Township, Michael J. (Cathy) Miller of Jefferson Township and Paul A. (Lisa) Miller of Clay Township; brother of Joseph (Anne) Miller of Washington, and proud grandfather of Noah, Keating, Szalay, Davis, Anthony, Evan and Chad.

<B>MILLER</B> — Friends of Paul J. Miller, who died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Sepulcher Church, Glade Mills. Interment with military honors will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery, Gibsonia.His family suggests donations be made to the Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E.
