Nancy Hindman Robb of Naples, Fla., died Wednesday after a valiant fight against cancer. Nancy touched countless lives with her love, faith, compassion, grace and encouragement.

She was born in Butler on May 14, 1939, to Robert P. Hindman and Marian Butler Hindman. She spent a significant part of her life in Butler and Middletown, Ohio. Nancy was married 51 years to her soul mate, John William Robb.

Nancy received a bachelor's in social work from Miami University. She also earned a master's in counseling psychology from Slippery Rock University. Nancy was a school social worker in Ohio, a counselor at Slippery Rock University and then assistant director of career services at the university.

Nancy also contributed significantly to the community. Two of her favorite charities included Friends in Action Mentor, of which she was a founding member, and Take Stock in Children Mentor in Collier County.

She dearly loved her church community and gave of herself to many ministries at the Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church in Naples, Fla. Previously, she was actively involved at the Church of the Ascension in Middletown, Ohio, and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Butler.

Nancy treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, studying French, and traveling with her husband, John. Happy memories include summers spent on Burt Lake at the Columbus Beach Club in Northern Michigan.

Nancy is survived by her dedicated husband, John Robb; her daughters, Amy Robb Bolazina and Lisa Robb McDonnell; her sons-in-law, Tony Bolazina and Michael McDonnell Jr.; and her four grandchildren, Jenna Bolazina, Connor Bolazina, Maxwell McDonnell and Lillian McDonnell. She also is survived by her brother, David Hindman; her sister-in-law, Leigh Davis Hindman; and her nieces and nephews, Anne Hindman Stitt, Holly Hindman Cook, Emery Davis and Robert Davis Jr.

<B>ROBB</B> — A memorial service for Nancy Hindman Robb, who died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2010, will be on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church in Naples, Fla.In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial donations be sent to The Archangel Fund for Collier County Charities at Trinity-by-the-Cove Episcopal Church.
