Willard J. "Bill" Tillotson Jr., 82, of Butler passed away suddenly Thursday surrounded by his family at UPMC Mercy.

He was the chairman of the board and the founder of Hefren Tillotson.

A memorial service will be Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 320 Sixth Ave., Downtown Pittsburgh.
