Bernice J. Rossi, 87, of Saxony Health Care Center, Saxonburg, formerly of Eau Claire, passed away Monday morning at the center following an illness.

Born June 13, 1923, in Venango Township, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Catherine Cramer Zarnick.

She was a lifelong member and faithful worker at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Murrinsville.

Bernie was a well known card and bingo player, especially bingo. She enjoyed cooking and spending quality time with her family.

Surviving are three sons and their wives, Raymond E. (Gay) Rossi Jr. of Chicora, Robert M. (Judy) Rossi of Chesterton, Ind., and Tony (Daphne) Rossi of Hilliards; five grandchildren, Heather (Scott) Sprouse, Chad (Molly) Rossi, Michael Rossi, Ryan (Sara) Rossi and Anthony Rossi; great-grandchildren, Slater and Slone Sprouse and Taylor, Caleb, Calvin and Chloe Rossi; a brother, William (Ginger) Zarnick of Eau Claire; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Rossi Sr., who she married Aug. 3, 1946; and who passed away May 17, 1987. She also was preceded by a brother, Clarence "Buddy" Zarnick, Jr.

<B>ROSSI</B> — Friends of Bernice J. Rossi, who died Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire. A blessing service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. James Bedillion of St. Alphonsus Parish officiating. Private burial will be Thursday morning at Epiphany Church Cemetery in Boyers.Information also is available at www.buzardfuneralhomes.com.
