Janet Dickinson
Janet Sweeney Dickinson of Oakland died Wednesday.
She is survived by her beloved husband, John Dickinson, and his children, Q. Todd Dickinson and John David Dickinson; her sister, Patricia Bates; her nieces, Valerie Knopfel and Victoria Colcombe; and her nephew, Vernon Knopfel.
Janet was a graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, earned a bachelor of arts and a bachelor of science at the University of Pittsburgh and a master's of nursing at LaRoche College.
She was an avid golfer and was a 40-year member of the Lounge Vue Club.
<B>Dickinson</B> — Friends of Janet Sweeney Dickinson, who died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, will be received at the <B>John A. Freyvogel Sons</B> funeral home, 4900 Centre Ave. at Devonshire Street, Pittsburgh, 412-621-1665, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be in the Pittsburgh Oratory of St. Philip Neri at 10 a.m. Monday.Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
