Gardner

Donald E. Gardner, 45, of Parker passed away suddenly Wednesday morning of natural causes at the emergency room of UPMC-Northwest.

Born in Donegal Township, June 11, 1965, he was the son of the late Perry E. "Jack" and Clara Reed Gardner.

He was a 1983 graduate of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District at Foxburg, where he lettered in several sports.

Don served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard from 1983 to 1992, working as both a mechanic and crew chief on helicopters.

He was employed by Colony Homes at Shippenville for a number of years and was employed by Allegheny Mountain Hardwood near Mariasville, Venango County, at the time of his passing.

An avid hunter and golfer, he coached girls softball with the ACV Little League for a number of years. He had a keen interest in raising dogs, especially one dog, Sophie.

He was a Protestant.

Surviving are his wife, Machelle "Shelly" Morris Gardner, who he married June 8, 1985; two daughters, Erica Gardner and her fiance, Chad Jack, of Mariasville and Emily Gardner at home; three sisters, Joyce (Roger L.) Tremba of Foxburg and Marsha (Donald) Bartley and Patricia (Dennis) Barger, both of Parker; three brothers, Robert (Judy) Gardner of Marianne Estates, Michael (Beth) Gardner of Emlenton and William "Bill" and his friend, Betty, Gardner of Foxburg; a number of nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Renie McQuiston of Emlenton; his father-in-law and his wife, William and Jeannie Morris of Grove City; and two brothers-in-law, Mace Morris of Slippery Rock and Ron McQuiston of Emlenton.

<B>GARDNER </B>— Friends of Donald E. Gardner, who died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2020, may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, 201 S. Wayne St., Parker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Parker United Methodist Church, Washington Street, with the Rev. Ken Hughes, pastor, officiating.
