Diana M. Wilson, 57, of Zelienople, a former Zelienople mayor and councilwoman, passed away peacefully at her home Friday while surrounded by her family and friends.

Born Dec. 9, 1952, in Ellwood City, she graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1970.

Diana had been deputy commander of the Cranberry Township Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

She was a member of the Friends of Gettysburg and enjoyed volunteering with her husband at the Gettysburg National Military Park. Diana's greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, granddaughters and family.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Alan L. Wilson, who she married July 10, 1970; three sons, Corey A. Wilson (Christine) of Ellwood City, Joseph L. Wilson (Tameka) of Zelienople and Michael D. Wilson (Shauna) of Williams, Ore.; a sister, Debra Smith (James) of Evans City; two brothers, Richard Frishkorn (Nancy) of Evans City and Duane "Bugs" Frishkorn (Nancy) of Aliquippa; and three granddaughters, Madilyn, Bailey and Freya. She also is survived by her mother-in-law, Betty W. Schaefer of Zelienople, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Randy Frishkorn.

<B>WILSON</B> — Friends of Diana M. Wilson, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Reformed Church, 314-320 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Friends, please meet at church. Interment will be at the English Lutheran Church Cemetery, Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Gettysburg Foundation, P.O.
