SV boys golfers end regular season with win

The Seneca Valley boys golf team knocked off previously unbeaten Pine-Richland 212-220 to conclude its regular season Tuesday.

The Raiders (10-3, 10-2) finished second in the section and will compete in the WPIAL team playoffs Tuesday at a site to be determined.

Mike McNulty earned medalist honors against the Rams with a 39.

Knoch's No. 1 doubles team of Peggy Kanterman and Katie Conlon lost to Ellis School in the section finals 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 recently, but it qualified for the WPIAL Doubles Tournament.That event will take place Thursday at Shady Side Academy.Knoch's other doubles unit of Abby Conlon and Alyssa King lost to Ellis School in the section quarterfinals.
