Melisa Steighner and Allan Yashinski

A May 14 wedding is being planned by Melisa Steighner and Allan Yashinski, both of State College.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Pamela Steighner of Renfrew. The parents of the prospective bridegroom are Margaret Yashinski of Luzerne and the late Robert Yashinski.

The bride-elect is a 2003 graduate of Butler High School, a 2007 graduate of Bucknell University and a 2009 graduate of Penn State University. She is a graduate research assistant at Penn State University working to earn her Ph.D. by 2012.

Her fiance graduated in 2003 from Bishop O'Reilly High School and in 2007 from Bucknell University. he is also a graduate teaching assistant at Penn State University working to earn his Ph.D. by 2012.
