It was a very costly trip for the Moniteau football team.

The Warriors fell behind 27-7 on the road at St. Marys on the way to a 46-15 loss Friday night.

The biggest loss, though, might have been quarterback Kyle Armagost, who suffered an apparent concussion in the third quarter.

Armagost had thrown for 146 yards and rushed for another 90 before his night ended. He also threw two interceptions.

"Too many mistakes too early," said Moniteau coach Jeff Campbell. "Too many missed tackles cost us."

The Warriors (2-3, 0-3 in the KSAC-Large) had trouble keeping St. Marys' Justin Quiggle in check.

Quiggle hauled in three touchdown passes from quarterback Brad Yetzer in the first half and also rushed for two TDs.

Quiggle finished with four receptions for 186 yards and seven rushes for 105 yards.

Moniteau committed five turnovers.

Armagost kept the Warriors in the game early after falling behind 13-0. He scored on a 15-yard run to close the gap to 13-7.

But Quiggle scored on a 69-yard reception and a 63- yard run to put St. Marys (3-2, 1-2) ahead 27-7 at the half.

The Dutchmen poured it on in the third quarter, leading 46-7 heading into the fourth.

Moniteau closed the scoring with a 4-yard run by Tanner Blair.

"We moved the ball," Campbell said. "Then we would fumble or shoot ourselves in the foot. It was ugly."

Armagost was taken to a hospital after the game for further evaluation.

Grove City 40, Meadville 13 — After a sluggish start, the Eagles continue to roll.Meadville led 13-7 after the first quarter, scoring on a 59-yard fumble return by Terence Goodrum and a short TD run by Marcus Towers, but Grove City (5-0, 3-0) reeled off 40 unanswered points to stay perfect.The Eagles rolled up 352 rushing yards and 26 first downs.Wes Phipps led the ground game with 118 yards on 16 carries. Erik Record added 114 yards on 13 attempts as Grove City overcame four lost fumbles.The Eagles defense held Meadville to 172 total yards.

Deer Lakes 24, Summit Academy 6 — The Lancers played the perfect game of keepaway.Dominating the ball and time of possession, Deer Lakes managed to keep the potent Summit Academy offense off the field with 51 rushing attempts.That left little time for the Knights (3-2, 2-1 in the section) to mount any kind of attack. Summit Academy managed only 95 yards.Andre Williams, who connected on a 21-yard scoring pass to Onyx Robinson in the fourth quarter, was 2-of-8 for 20 yards. He also rushed for 31 yards.

Keystone 47, A-C Valley 0 — Kasey McNany completed 12-of-22 passes for 72 yards for the Falcons (0-5, 0-3) in the loss.Keystone (2-3, 2-1) scored five rushing touchdowns and led 33-0 at halftime.Alex Ford led the Falcons with 25 yards on 11 carries.

Eight different Mars players scored in an 8-0 win over Highlands.The Planets' (13-0) defense allowed only one shot on goal.
