Anthony M. 'Tony' Schnitzki Jr.

Anthony M. "Tony" Schnitzki Jr., 60, of Butler passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice Unit.

Born in Butler, Oct. 30, 1949, he was the son of the late Anthony M. "Tony" and Stephanie B. Achesinski Schnitzki Sr.

Tony was a retired financial analyst at VA Butler Healthcare, retiring Sept. 30, 2006, after 30 years of service.

He graduated from Robert Morris University with a bachelor's in business management.

Tony was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the U.S. Air Force.

He enjoyed bowling, softball and playing computer games.

Mr. Schnitzki was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church and the Italian Society of Butler.

Surviving are his wife, Rhonda Morse Schnitzki, to whom he was married for nine years. They were married June 23, 2001. Also surviving are two sons, Christopher Schnitzki of Phoenix and Michael Schnitzki of Butler; one daughter, Amy Schnitzki and her fiance, A.J. Elsberry, of Phoenix; one stepdaughter, Ciara Pelligrini of Butler; one brother, Danny J. Schnitzki and his wife, Mary Ann, of Butler; one sister, Marsha A. VanGorder and her husband, Donald, of Butler; two nephews, Jason VanGorder and his wife, Erin, of Slippery Rock and Justin VanGorder of Butler; his first wife, Wendy Graham Rickard of Phoenix; and his pets, Cheyenne, Lady, Tigger, Patches and Midnight.

He was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.

<B>Schnitzk</B>i — There will be no visitation. Funeral services and burial for Anthony M. "Tony" Schnitzki Jr., who died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, will be held at the convenience of the family.Arrangements are by <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, Butler; and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
