HARRISBURG — Those participating in the state's upcoming archery deer seasons will be able to file their harvest reports online at www.pgc.state.pa.us.
Hunters still have the option to file a harvest report postcard, which are included in the annual digest they received when they bought their licenses.
HARRISBURG — As tree stand use is a popular part deer seasons, the Pennsylvania Game Commission is offering a free, voluntary online tree stand safety course."Tree stand safety has evolved over the years as new research and statistics become available," said Keith Snyder, Game Commission Hunter-Trapper Education Division chief. "By reviewing this 15-minute interactive, narrated tree stand safety course, a hunter will learn about the latest Tree stand Manufacturers Association's safety standards and guidelines."To take the course, visit www.pgc.state.pa.us.

Established in 1887, by Theodore Roosevelt, the B&C Club was initially organized for the conservation of wildlife and natural resources on a national basis.The Game Commission and the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writer's Association started the Big Game Measuring Program in 1965 (although score sheets and listings in the record book go back as far as the early 1900s) to showcase the outstanding big game hunting opportunities available in this state.Pennsylvania Big Game Records contains a wealth of information, including the minimum scores required for each big game category, some Boone & Crockett Club and Pope & Young Club information, a few photos, but most importantly, the listings.
