George W. Fogel Jr.

George Walter Fogel Jr., 89, of Vanderbilt, Fayette County, passed away Thursday at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1921, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late G.W. and Marie Wissner Fogel Sr.

He was a member of the Dormont Presbyterian Church from 1943 to 1954 and taught the Junior High Church School, was church school superintendent and president of the board of trustees.

He became a Mason in the Dallas Lodge 508 F&AM in 1947.

Before his retirement, he worked as a traffic manager for Halliburton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jean R. Hill Fogel, who he married Oct. 8, 1942, and his loving sons, Edward, Charles and Thomas Fogel.

He was predeceased by a brother, Carl William Fogel, and a sister, Edythe Wandel.
