The Butler County Conservation District administers the Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Program as delegated by the state Department of Environmental Protection.

We conduct administrative reviews, issue general permits conduct inspections and investigate complaints.

On May 17, the Environmental Quality Board amended stormwater regulations and the new rules take effect Nov. 19.

All earthmoving activities are regulated regardless of size. However, the requirements depend on the size of the proposed project.
