ADAMS TWP — Part of Myoma Road will close Monday and will remain so until Oct. 1 for road work, according to the state Department of Transportation.
It will be closed from Mars-Evans City Road to Callery Road.
A curve in the road is being altered because of a housing development.
A detour is in place using the Mars-Evans City and part of Myoma Road.

SLIPPERY ROCK — A public meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday to provide information on a Slippery Rock Government Study Commission on Merger-Consolidation.Richard Stachel, a township resident, will discuss the 1989 Joint Government Commission between St. Marys Borough and Benzinger Township in Elk County, which was charged with the task of assembling and studying data pertinent to a shared cooperation between those two municipalities.The meeting will be in the auditorium in the Strain Behavioral Science Building on the Slippery Rock University campus.The meeting is presented by the Slippery Rock Borough-Township Coalition for a Slippery Rock Government Study Commission.Voters in Slippery Rock and Slippery Rock Township will decide Nov. 2 if they want a committee to study the possible merger of the two municipalities.For further information, call 888-489-4426.
