Commissioner Kennedy will not seek re-election
CENTER TWP — The longest-serving Butler County commissioner is not running for re-election next year.
Republican James Kennedy, 66, will retire at the end of 2011 after being in office for 16 years.
Kennedy said he is not seeking a fifth term because it's the right time to go.
"There is a time and place," he said. "I'm not a career politician; I'm a farmer."
