Phylis Ellis Raisley

Phylis Ellis Raisley, 93, of the St. John Specialty Care Center, formerly of Butler, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Saturday.

Mrs. Raisley was born in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, Jan. 9, 1917. Phylis came to Butler as a young woman.

She was employed by the Butler Eagle for several years. Later, she became a member of the clerical staff at Butler County Community College until her retirement.

She was an active volunteer for many years and a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bakerstown.

Surviving are three sons, David of Summerville, S.C., Mark of Prescott, Ariz., and Douglas of Coraopolis. Also surviving are six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a sister in Canada.

She was married to Donald L. Raisley, who died in 1965.

<B>RAISLEY</B> — Friends and family of Phylis Ellis Raisley, who died Saturday, July 24, 2010, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME INC.</B>,<B> </B>124 E. North St., Butler. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. with the Rev. Robert C.
