Mary Smith Foust

Mary K. (Smith) Foust, 79, of Uniontown, formerly of the Butler County area, died Wednesday at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown.

Born Aug. 29, 1930, in Curtisville, she lived in the Butler County area most of her life before moving to the Uniontown area four years ago.

Mary owned and operated several Butler County restaurants. She also worked for the Butler County Prison System as a matron and cook until she retired in 1990.

She attended the Deer Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene, Curtisville.

Her love was her family and cooking.

Survivors include her son, Howard F. (Kathy) Foust of Uniontown; daughters, Cheryl L. (Wayne) Griffith of Bentleyville and Patty A. (Malcom) Lipscomb of Butler; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamine F. and Lena (Dunn) Smith; her brothers, John E. and Lester E. Smith and James Dunn; and sisters, Florence Daradima and Mabel Mazarek.

<B>FOUST</B> — The family of Mary K. (Smith) Foust, who died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the <B>SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME</B>, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday.
