Matthew Rippin and Sheryl Gurgiolo

A Sept. 11 wedding is being planned by Sheryl Gurgiolo of Pittsburgh and Matthew Rippin of Mount Lebanon.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Anthony and Marilyn Gurgiolo of Pittsburgh. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are William and Rita Rippin of Butler.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of North Allegheny High School and a 2005 graduate of Duquesne University. She previously taught elementary school in Wake County Schools in Raleigh, N.C.

Her fiance graduated in 1999 from Butler High School. He graduated in 2003 from Cornell University and in 2006 from the Duquesne University School of Law. He is employed by the Allegheny County District Attorney's Office in Pittsburgh.
