PITTSBURGH — Clearview Federal Credit Union and A-K Valley Federal Credit Union merged as of July 31.
As a result of the merger, all of A-K Valley's nearly 11,000 members automatically became members of Clearview.
Clearview Federal Credit Union, with branches in Butler County, including on New Castle Road in the Butler Crossing Shopping Center, serves more than 78,000 members, with reported assets valued at more than $629 million as of June 30.
The credit union also has branches in Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
PROSPECT — First National Bank hired Richard Daugherty as senior vice president and commercial banking relationship manager.Daugherty has more than 20 years of commercial lending experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president of commercial lending for Huntington Bank in Butler.He is a graduate of Slippery Rock University, where he earned a bachelor's in accounting and a bachelor's in finance. He also is a graduate of the ABA School of Commercial Banking at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.He and his wife, Robin, live in Butler. They have three children.
WEXFORD — Jerry's Car Wash was selected for the 2010 Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence.Owner Jerry Feldman and his son, Mark, own three car washes in Butler and Allegheny counties.They also received a state House of Representatives citation for their work on water conservation.The Feldmans have been able to reduce water usage by 60 percent with their changes.
HERMITAGE — F.N.B. Corp. announced it is buying Comm Bancorp, the holding company and parent of Community Bank and Trust Co., for $70 million.Comm Bancorp has $642 million in assets with 15 bank branches in five counties in northeastern Pennsylvania.Under the terms of the merger, shareholders of Comm Bancorp will get a fixed exchange ratio of 3.4545 shares of F.N.B. Corp., common stock and $10 in cash for each share of Comm Bancorp.
• First Commonwealth Financial completed its public offering by issuing 18.5 million shares of common stock. They sold for about $81.4 million.
