Kristi Watterson, 18, of Butler is a state finalist in the National American Miss Pennsylvania Pageant to be held Aug. 15 and 16 in Harrisburg. She will compete in the teen division.—
<B>Lucia Hindman</B> was named Woman of the Year by the GFWC Butler Junior Women's Club.Hindman was club president from 2009 to 2010. Since joining in 2005, she has served as first vice president, second vice president and on several committees. She co-chaired the annual fundraiser Twilight Magic in 2008 and 2009.After graduating in 1989 from Butler High School, she pursued a nursing career.She is married to Wayne Hindman Jr. and has three daughters, Nina, Nadia and Corinne. She is the daughter of Joseph and Phyllis Savannah Sr.——
The 2010 North Washington Rodeo queen is <B>Carly Lazzo</B>, 18, of Saxonburg.A graduate of Knoch High School, she is the daughter of George and Tracy Lazzo.At Knoch, she was on the dance team and served as secretary and vice president of the Future Farmers of America and the Conservatory Club.She plans to study business at Butler County Community College before transferring to Slippery Rock University. She also plans to complete the John Lyon's Horsemanship certification program in Tennessee and become a horse trainer owning her own business.Lazzo and runner up <B>Marissa Stoner</B> of Butler will represent the rodeo and North Washington Volunteer Fire Department at parades and rodeos.—
The <B>Knoch High School Knochettes</B> 2010 dance team recently returned from a marching auxiliaries dance and auxiliaries summer camp.Awards received by the team include the 110 percent plaque, Grand Champion trophy, Overall Spirit Award and Home Routine Blue Superior ribbon. Individual Knochettes received the white All-Star Performer ribbon, Honor Roll Medals, teal Rising Star ribbon and the blue Superior ribbon.Members include captains <B>Katie King</B> and <B>Chelsea Leake</B> and <B>Ellen Balkey</B>, <B>Courtney Zacherl</B>, <B>Chloe Knappenberger</B>, <B>Sarah Harris</B>, <B>Dezera Firouzi</B>, <B>Monica Traggiai</B>, <B>Elizabeth Hartzel</B>, <B>Morgan McMillen</B> and <B>Bethany Bowen</B>. <B>Jen's Academy of Rhythm and Moves </B>announced twirling champions from a recent competition. The Five Star Performers won the Twirling Unlimited Regional Senior Dance Twirl Championship as a group and won several individual pageants. The dancers won the Youth Unlimited Regional Senior Jazz and Tap Championships.<B>Chelsea Master, Morgan Brazell </B>and<B> Ashley Lowman</B> were the Regional Senior Tap Champions.<B>Lauren Dietz, Sara Kozar, Chelsea Master</B> and<B> Morgan Brazell</B> were Twirling Unlimited Regional Senior Dance Twirl Champions.<B>Autumn Tuel, Alyssa Lenhart, Chelsea Master, Sarah Kozar, Morgan Brazell </B>and <B>Ashley Master </B>were Regional Senior Jazz Champions.—
