Richard G. Menchyk

Richard G. Menchyk, 57, of Butler died unexpectedly Monday.

Born Feb. 18, 1953, in Butler, he was a son of the late Frank S. and Grace (Russen) Menchyk.

He was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School and had worked as a heavy equipment operator for Bear Run Enterprises.

He was a veteran, serving in the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Surviving are a daughter, Gracie J. Gadeberg and her husband, Brian, of Independence, Kan.; a son, Richard B. Menchyk of Butler; three grandchildren, Annelise, Brodie and Isley; two brothers, Frank Menchyk and his wife, Janet, of Prospect and Mark Menchyk and his wife, Carolyn, of California; and two sisters, Tina Reamer and Joy "Susie" BeVier, both of Maryland.

<B>MENCHYK</B> — Family and friends of Richard G. Menchyk, who died Monday, June 14, 2010, are invited to a gathering celebrating his life from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasantview, shelter 1, on the South Shore at Moraine State Park.Cremation services provided by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, Butler, and information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
