It will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at SiBA Restaurant, 530 Northpointe Circle.

This networking event will include entertainment, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes, a mini art exhibit, and one complimentary drink per person with a cash bar following. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required.

CUPERTINO, Calif. (AP) — Apple says it will give free protective cases to buyers of its latest iPhone model to alleviate the so-called "death grip" problem: holding the phone with a bare hand can muffle the wireless signal.Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the giveaway Friday at the company's headquarters in California. Those who have already bought the phone and new buyers through Sept. 30 will all be eligible. People who already purchased the $29 "Bumper" cases will be refunded.Earlier, Jobs declared, "We're not perfect."But he says the problem isn't widespread. He says slightly more than five out of every thousand users have complained to Apple's warranty service, and less than 2 percent have returned the device.Consumer Reports refused to recommend the phone and called on Apple to compensate buyers.

HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania's jobless rate remained unchanged in June, and Gov. Ed Rendell says that's one reason Congress needs to approve an extension of emergency unemployment benefits.The Department of Labor and Industry said Thursday that the statewide unemployment rate was 9.2 percent last month — the same as the adjusted rate for May.Pennsylvania lost 6,300 jobs last month, mostly to the phaseout of temporary census jobs, but gained more than 64,000 jobs during the first half of the year.Still, hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians are looking for work. Rendell said Americans need two things these days — good-paying jobs for citizens and "a Congress that does its job."The state had initially reported May's jobless rate as 9.1 percent.

NEW YORK — Citigroup says its second-quarter net income dropped 10 percent to $2.7 billion even as its loan losses fell. The drop in income reflects the bank's sale a year ago of the Smith Barney brokerage, a transaction that inflated its earnings at the time.Citigroup joins JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Bank of America in reporting earnings that got a lift in the second quarter as losses from failed loans fell. That's a sign that consumers are having an easier time paying their debts. But Citi, like the other banks, also had a decline in trading revenue because of the stock market's plunge this spring.Citigroup says it earned $2.7 billion, or 9 cents per share, during the April-June period. That compares with $3 billion, or 49 cents per share, during the same quarter last year.Analysts forecast the bank would earn 5 cents per share.

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. — An Indiana recreational vehicle company that started less than two years ago with 18 workers is looking for a boost with Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw promoting it as part owner.The former Steelers quarterback announced Thursday that he would become the face of Middlebury-based EverGreen Recreational Vehicles, traveling to trade shows and publicizing its RVs.The deal came about because EverGreen founder Kelly Rose and Bradshaw have been golfing buddies and Rose asked Bradshaw to get involved with the company.
