Jefferson Twp — Author and nature enthusiast Chuck Tague will present a three-part educational series called Observing Butterflies: Summer's Flying Flowers starting at 2 p.m. July 19 in the Haven I activity room, 112 Marwood Road.

Cost is $10 per session or $25 for all three sessions. The first class will be indoors.

The 2 p.m. July 26 session will be a guided outdoor visit to Concordia's gardens and trails; Aug. 2 will be a guided trip to the Butler Freeport Community Trail. Aug. 9 is a rain date if either outdoor session is canceled due to weather.

Butler County Parks and Recreation will host a Magic Camp from July 19 to 23 at Alameda Park. Professional magician Devin Knight will lead the $75 workshop for ages 7 and up. For information, call 724-284-5383.
