Hazel Elaine Winters
Hazel Elaine Winters, 71, of Saxonburg, formerly of Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County, died Wednesday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Sturgeon, Allegheny County, Sept. 2, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Frank and Esther (Johnson) Winters.
Elaine retired from the Mon Valley Hospital as a medical transcriptionist.
She was a former member of the Lynnwood Lutheran Church and currently was a member of the St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.
Elaine loved the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. She loved animals and participated in dog shows. She also was noted for her art work.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Karin Middleby and Anna Dorothea Cochran; and a brother, Ernest Frank Winters.
